FAMILY TREE 28 – THE KINGS OF ARGOS, TIRYNS, MYCENAE AND SPARTA

The different genealogies listed above outline the progress of the seeker of truth.

This progression is described in detail on the page “PERSEUS AND THE GORGON MEDUSA; INTRODUCTION TO THE FIRST SIX LABOURS OF HERACLES”.

In the first phase, the kingdom of Argolis is the most important. Argos “white, shiny” is the symbol of one who works for purity in the sense of “everything in its right place”. The essential element of the quest then is the process of purification in the line of Inachus “the evolution of concentration” or “the evolution of the gathering of the elements of the being towards the same goal”. First of all, it consists of an in-depth work on fears with Perseus.

When this work is accomplished, the throne of Argos passes into the hands of Megapenthes “great compassion” who is also king of Tiryns “the evolution of a just movement towards the spirit”. The paths of ascension in the planes of consciousness and of purification / liberation are then brought together.

The quest then includes three distinct movements which advance in parallel without being really interconnected.

– the work of compassion and ascension in the planes of consciousness with Megapenthes

– the development of sensitivity and intuition with Melampous

– the development of strength (Bias), endurance (Talaos) and consecration or “surrender” (Adrastos).

The thrones of Argos and Tiryns will ultimately pass through the hands of the branch of “divine intoxication” (Oineus) to Diomedes “the one who consecrates himself to the divine”.

In parallel, rapid growth continues with “great inner strength” resulting from liberation. Indeed, after having yielded the throne of Argos, Perseus founded Mycenae “rapid growth” for a thorough work of purification: Eurystheus “a vast inner force”, king of Mycenae, demanded of Heracles the realization of the twelve labours with a view to liberation.

The throne of Mycenae was then transferred to the line of the Atrides, the line of “aspiration”, which will ensure the great overthrow of yoga (the Trojan War). To the inner strength is then added a powerful aspiration.

It is Agamemnon’s grandson, Tisamenos “the one who does what he has to do” who will finally unite the kingdoms of Mycenae “what is growing rapidly”, Tiryns “the evolution of a just movement towards ‘spirit’, Argos ‘purification’ and Sparta ‘what arises after being sown’, or ‘the new’.
